Huajie (Jay) Cao
Huajie (Jay) Cao is a PhD student in Media and Information at Michigan State University advised by Hee Rin Lee .
His research interests lie in how people use, perceive, and interact with AI and robots. He views AI and robots as potential collaborators in the workplace, while emphasizing the importance of carefully defining their social roles, responsibilities, and boundaries in human-centered contexts.
Jay has published his work in top-tier conferences including CHI & HRI, and has received Best Paper Honorable Mentions on CHI'26, CHI'25 & HRI'24.
